The “Florence tour” takes one day from 9.00 to the 19.00. Departure from Montecatini station. Arrival at the Santa Maria Novella station by train to the 10,30. After a short walk (10 minutes) we get to the Duomo, the wonderful cathedral of Sant Maria del Fiore with the world famous Brunelleschi dome. In the same square we can also visit the Campanile di Giotto and the San Giovanni Baptistery. After we take via Calzaioli, famous for its shops and boutiques, to arrive at the splendid Piazza della Signoria, with the famous Palazzo Vecchio, still today headquarters of the municipality of Florence. Then we’ll see Ponte Vecchio, the Old Bridge built in 1170, and Palazzo Pitti, the famous Medici residence. Eventually we will take a bus that will take us to Piazzale Michelangelo, the best panoramic point to see the city skyline.
