Demidoff Villa Park is one of the most beautiful in Tuscany. It is
famous especially for the Giant of the Apennines, the big statue built in 1580
by Giambologna, that depicts a mythological figure in the act to rise. The Park, built in the
second half of the Renaissance from the Duke Francesco I dei Medici, is also
rich of fountains, statues and works of art. To get to the Park we will take
first the train from Montecatini, and then the bus from the station of Santa
Maria Novella station. The tour lasts 4/5 hours.
