Torre del Lago is famous
not only as a seaside place, but also as the birthplace of the famous Italian
composer Giacomo Puccini, author of unforgettable Operas as “Madama Butterfly”,
“Boheme”, “Tosca” and “Turandot”. We will visit the House of Puccini and the
Opera House on the Lake, and then we’ll go to the near beach to take a bath in
the sea. Viareggio is only 6 km away from Torre del lago, and it is the
capital of Versilia, the most famous coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea, where we can do
a long walk by the sea, in the famous “promenade”. The trip to Torre del Lago
and Viareggio lasts a day: we’ll will
depart from Monsummano at 9.00 by car and come back to 19.00. Not available in
the week-end (too crowded).
